# Case 2

### Case Type: Unplanned Murder

### Case Background:

10th of May 2022, a corpse was found inside of a somewhat luxurious hotel. The body was found by the bellboy attempting to clean the room. Above the table was found traces of medicines with 2 diary books and a suicide note. The police force deemed it as a suicide case, but is it really the case? There are 5 main suspects on this case.

### Autopsy Report:

The victim was found hanging on with a rope in his neck, but his body was found stabbed by a collection of decorative swords on the wall with marks of multiple small stabbings on some parts of the body, making the cause of death unclear.

### Murder Weapon:

Fruit Knife, Rope (Decoy), Decorative Swords (Decoy)

### Murder Method:

Stabbings with a fruit knife covered up with a rope to falsify as a suicide case.

### Alibis:

Suspect #1: Friend of the victim

"I had just met him/her last night before on the hotel, we went out together, all four of us. I don't really think that any of us could be the murderer since we went and left at the same time around 8.30 PM. Before I left, I just borrowed his toilet and then all three of us left. I walked with one of my friends to the convinience store after that to buy groceries. After that took a bath then fell asleep."

Suspect #2: Friend of the victim 2

"I was currently in my room when I heard of the news. He resided on the 10th floor, meanwhile I'm on the 11th floor with the others due to some mismanagement from the hotel. Before I left his room, I chatted with him a bit waiting for my friend who is in the toilet. After that I just sat down on the bed scrolling my phone."

Suspect #3: Hotel Bellboy

"I was just heading on my way to the room of the murder. The victim called for room service on 9 P.M, so I went and head there as ordered by the victim. Unable to open the door, I took a peek inside and found him hanging. On a whim, I opened the door and called the police immediately and I told my manager while I was waiting."

Suspect #4: Travelling Salesman

"I was just wandering around when I met him in the hotel. I currently reside on the 10th floor as well, but I'm just a travelling salesman, I lack the motive to murder the victim. Unlessyou can prove something, then be my guest."

Murderer: Friend of the victim 3

"Same as my other friends, we were just finished hanging out. After we returned, I went to the convinience store with my friend and we returned back to our room at the 11th floor. We probably already went back to our respective rooms at around 8.45 PM. After that I just watched a drama on the TV on my room until the incident happened."
